User Search
The Find User page helps active members find other active members on Solidarity.
How search logic works
When you fill multiple search criteria, they are combined with AND logic—all criteria must be met. For example, if you select "Germany" as country, "Berlin" as city, enter "John" in the name field, and "gardening" in the bio field, the system finds users that match all four conditions. It will not return users who are in Berlin but don't have "John" in their name, or users with "gardening" in their bio but in a different city. Every matching user must be located in Berlin, Germany AND have "John" in their name AND have "gardening" in their bio.
How search works
- Exact email: Enter an email address to search only by that exact email.
- Location plus keyword: If email is empty, choose country and city, then enter name or bio with at least 3 characters.
- Keyword length: If you fill both name and bio, each one must be at least 3 characters. Spaces alone do not count.
- Email priority: When email is filled, the other fields are ignored and disabled on the page.
- User searches count against the monthly AI Search quota.
Location fields
- Defaults: The page preselects your profile country and city when it first loads. You can change them before searching.
- Country: Select from the dropdown list.
- City: Select from the city dropdown after choosing a country.
Results
Each result shows the member's name, location, public bio, and a link to the public profile. If no active member matches, the page shows an empty-state message.
User search will return all matching users (no explicit maximum per search).
