Provider Unavailability Page

This topic explains Provider Unavailability.

Purpose

Use this page to mark when you are unavailable for services you provide, so requestors cannot create new requests that overlap those periods.

Important scope

  • Unavailability records affect only future requests from other users for your services.
  • They do not affect past requests or sessions.
  • It applies only to requests made to your services as a provider.
  • It does not affect requests you create as a requestor.
  • Existing pending requests or scheduled sessions are not changed automatically (warn-only behavior in v1).

What you can add

  • Times of day: local 24-hour ranges like 18:00-23:59. Midnight-spanning windows should be added as two ranges.
  • Days of week: block specific weekdays such as Saturday.
  • Date ranges: block specific calendar periods such as 2026-05-01 to 2026-05-15.

What other members see

Your current unavailability is shown at the end of your public user profile. Other paid members can see the times of day, weekdays, and date ranges you have added. The profile also identifies the provider time zone used for those values.

Validation rules

  • Overlapping ranges of the same type are rejected.
  • A weekday can be added only once.
  • Date ranges must be valid and non-overlapping.
