Create Event Page
This topic explains Create Event.
Purpose
Create a free event that other Solidarity members can find and book.
What you can enter
- Title, description, category, subcategory, future date, time, duration, and maximum attendance.
- Mode: online or in-person.
- Venue/place: an optional venue, place, or online platform name.
- Where: the address, meeting point, online link, or joining details. In-person events can use address suggestions when Google Maps is configured.
- Notes: optional provider notes for instructions, updates, or reminders. Notes stay editable after publishing.
- An optional PNG or JPEG poster image up to 5 MB.
- Moderation: Event titles, descriptions, and notes are checked by AI and cannot include gibberish, sexual content, child-targeted content, medical offers, financial transactions, hateful or discriminatory content, violence, terrorism, illegal activity, or abusive profanity.
Page behavior
- New events are saved as drafts.
- The start date and time must be in the future.
- Draft events are not visible in event search until you publish them from My events.
- After publishing, no part of the event can be changed except notes.
- Copying an existing event copies the event details but not the poster image.
- Event text search can match the title, description, notes, venue/place, and where details after the event is published and indexed.
- If the AI policy check rejects the title, description, or notes, the event is not saved until the text is changed.
