My Requests
This page is your outbox for all the service requests you have sent to other members. It helps you keep track of the status of your requests and manage them.
Filtering Your Requests
You can use the filters at the top of the page to narrow down your request list:
- Service: View requests you've sent for a specific service, or for all services. The service options are based on the selected state and period.
- State: Filter your requests by their current status, such as "Pending," "Accepted," "Rejected," "Cancelled," or "Cancelled (provider unavailable)."
- Period: See requests from the last 1, 3, or 6 months, or from specific years starting at the current year and going back to 2026.
Changing a filter immediately reloads the visible list using the selected filters. The Filter button runs the same filtered reload explicitly, while the Refresh button clears the page cache for the current view and reloads the latest server data.
Understanding the Request List
Each row in the list provides a summary of a request you've made:
- Service: The title of the service you requested.
- Provider: The name of the member offering the service.
- Start / End: The date and time you requested for the session.
- Duration: The length of the session you requested, in hours.
- State: The current status of your request (e.g., "Pending," "Accepted").
Available Actions
For each request, you have several actions available depending on its status:
- Display: View the full details of your request.
- Copy: Quickly create a new request with the same details as an existing one. This is useful if you want to request the same service again.
- Messages: Open the conversation thread with the provider. The link is always visible, even after a request is cancelled, rejected, or expired, so you can review the conversation history.
- Cancel: Withdraw a "Pending" request before the provider has responded.
- Go To Session: If your request has been "Accepted," this action will take you directly to the scheduled session's detail page.
You can only send new messages while the request is still "Pending". After the request is accepted, messaging continues from the session pages while the session is "Scheduled" or "Started". Once the request or session is closed, the thread remains visible for history but becomes read-only.
If the provider blocks you after receiving one of your requests, your existing request history and conversation history remain visible, but you cannot send that provider new messages or create new requests for that provider's services.
Emails related to your requests
- When the provider responds to your request, Solidarity sends you an email telling you whether it was accepted or rejected.
- If the request expires before the provider responds, both sides receive expiry emails.
- When either side sends a message in the request thread, the other participant receives a message email.
- If a provider account cancellation forces your pending request to be cancelled, Solidarity sends you a cancellation email and the request state becomes "Cancelled (provider unavailable)".
- If your own account is cancelled while your request is still pending, Solidarity closes it as Cancelled and sends a request-cancellation email to the provider.
If the provider loses membership access while your request is still pending, that request is closed automatically as Cancelled (provider unavailable). It does not become a session, and the message thread remains visible only as history.
Time zone guidance
Dates and times shown on these member pages follow your saved profile time zone. If you travel and want to use Solidarity in a new place, update your profile time zone first on Profile Edit so new requests, sessions, and read-only displays match that local time.
